They say that with age comes experience...so what sort of memories do the crew of The Journal have from their 11 years of experience as a troupe? Hear from them as they reflect on a decade +1 in comedy and celebrate their golden birthday.

THE TEAM: Erik Koconis, Tim Farley, Jeff Wheatley Heckman, Tim Higgins, Deborah Stencel, Sara Eliza, Tess Rutkowski, Luke Borchardt, John Wiedenhoeft, and Taylor Burzynski.
What’s the story behind your team name?
The name comes from the premise that all these stories are introduced to the audience through a cast member making an entry in a private log or diary. We then explore that character's world until another character gives a new monologue, at which point we start following that character through the events of the story. It really gives the performers the chance to create full dynamic characters and stories in a short amount of time.
What was the theme or initial prompt of your first show together?
The comedy of Edgar Allen Poe.
Any pre or post-show team rituals?
Post show, we write quotes into the [physical, actual] journal of the show we just did.
Best part of performing together?
Lots of experience in the room!
What is your favorite suggestion The Journal has ever gotten?
The Meaning of Life.
What should newcomers expect at your show?
High energy!
